oh well..great..1 wk before saf day i'm informed that i will have to be changed to tengah colours instead of rsaf colours because i'm bow-legged..well..i still get to participate in the parade but it's just different i guess..anyway bow-legged means when u put ur feet tgt can see quite an obvious gap between the knees there..hmmm..now that i've lost the chance to be the state colours i suddenly realise that it did mean quite a bit to me..although i may keep complaining abt how tough and tiring training is but yes..it's pride..well..life goes on i guess..sometimes ppl only treasure things after they've lost it..guess i'm the same..haha..Monday, June 26, 2006

cdf vetting today..think everything went pretty fine except the fact that i was really struggling at 1 part to keep my elbow straight..well..everything's over so let's just look ahead..think today around 5-7 guys under my platoon were given extra..sometimes really wonder why they can't learn from their mistakes..if this continues think giving extras also won't be a solution already..sighz..Tuesday, June 20, 2006

last wk was a really hard wk for me in camp..one of my men almost kena charged for watching soccer while on duty..haiz..and so many other things happened on that day that he was caught too..in e end we had a 3hr long morning meeting with the co..while the other issues were settled with relative ease the issue of my man watching soccer took real long..the 4 PCs including myself were coming up with all sorts of reasons so as to convince the CO not to charge the guy..at 1 pt when it seemed like we were fighting a losing battle one of the PC even shed tears..the whole issue really was a traumatic experience for me..juz glad that everything turned out fine and he was just given extras..learnt alot from the whole saga though..being too kind to ur men at times is not helping them but actually harming them..if i had emphasised more that they are not supposed to watch tv while on duty I'm sure the whole thing could have been avoided..guess it's time for me to start taking a stronger stand on some things..Monday, June 19, 2006

korea won!!! realistically now they must be the only asian team that still stand a chance of making it into the next round..of course they are my favourite asian team in the world cup too..haha..what a relief it must have been for the players when they scored the equaliser..in such tournaments losing the 1st match definitely will result in tremendous pressure on the players in the subsequent matches..anyway brazil will finally be taking to the field soon..overwhelming favourites i must say..this world cup sure is exciting..hmmm..saf day rehearsals getting more and more frequent now..cdf vetting's just 1 wk away..hope everything goes well..anyway just wonder why some people like to bet so much..i don't deny i once indulged in it too..but i'm real glad that's history..seeing how ppl react when things don't go their way or when they lose just serves as a reminder for me never ever to bet anymore..definitely enjoy watching soccer purely because i love the game more than because there's money on the line..then again i don't deny the thrill betting offers..well..everyone has their own thinking..for me, i just wanna watch beautiful soccer being played..:)Tuesday, June 13, 2006

hmmm..my shoulder is still feeling a bit of strain although i am able to continue with my rehearsals..hopefully it'll heal fully soon..england won! not as exciting a match as i expected but what's more important is the three points..good start to the world cup i must say..imagine losing your 1st game..it'll be so hard from then on..feeling really tired nowadays..not getting enough sleep..gotta go back camp later on..tomorrow having saf day rehearsals..sianz to the max..can't wait for everything to be over man..haiz..i'm tired..Sunday, June 11, 2006

what a great start to the world cup! although i only watched the 1st half of the opening match before succumbing to the Z monster, it was not too bad a half to watch i guess...fantastic goal by lahm..hope germany will improve their defence though..2 more hours from the 1st england match! i believe everyone's looking 4ward to that man! how i wish crouch can score a hat trick..haha..Saturday, June 10, 2006

hmmm..saf day parade seems to be easier..and yet harder too..easier because as the rsaf state flag i'll only have to hormat once and do not need to hold it there for the whole national anthem unlike ndp..harder because there's gonna be a part when only the rsaf, navy and commandos state flag are moving..the 3 at the front la..have to march forward..then slow march back..wth..everyone's attention gonna be on the 3 of us..it's make or break for the parade like what all the trainers are saying..hmmm..hope everything goes well..2 more days to the world cup..oh yeah..will be watching the opening match in camp tmr..haha..cisse broke his leg..tough luck..now it'll be harder to sell him if benitez had that intention..haha..was playing field soccer with the aslc trainees in my camp yesterday..played goalie throughout the match..haha..glad that i haven't entirely lost my touch as a keeper..world cup's coming..can't wait to see england in action man!Thursday, June 08, 2006

seriously..i don't understand what's the big fuss over me not attending the rehearsals..i mean i don't mind people asking me why i'm unable to attend..but personally i feel that since i'm unable to do the drills due to my arm injury..why should i turn up just to show people that i'm there? c'mon..i would rather be doing duty in camp so that other pcs do not need to cover for me..ok..maybe i have to be in their shoes to understand..but well..if i'm supposed to stop playing sports in case i get injured until ndp finishes..sorry but i can't comply..Sunday, June 04, 2006
