another 1 month plus has passed since i last blogged..i'm just 3 days away from ORD..incredible..as i was packing my duffer bag before i left camp, it just felt so...there was just this tinge of emotion running through me..2 years has passed just like that..from BMT to SISPEC to OCS and finally TAB/FDS..it's just unbelievable..so many friends made, so many unforgettable experiences in OCS, all the fun and joy in FDS and valuable lessons imparted to me by my superiors..while i'm glad that this chapter of my life is finally coming to an end, i'm pretty sure that many years down the road i will still remember the days that i led as a NSF..
BMT - first experience in the army..definitely helped to be in Scorpion Coy which is much more welfare than other companies i guess..haha..gotta know fellow red supporter Yiing Jye who was in my section..cool man..haha..and it was great to have Pompi and Ak around in the same company too..oh..how can i forget the day when we crawled out of bed at 2am and sneaked into the recreation room to watch the Champs league final between liverpool and ac milan..haha..
SISPEC - only stayed there for 6 wks but it was great knowing my section mates..playing soccer in the bunk using a self-made ball was real fun..too bad i didnt stay for the full length of BSLC or i'll surely have learnt more tricks from my buddy Russell and Jegan..haha..
OCS - ok..my mind's in a blank now..simply too many things that happened in OCS..slacking in bunk, getting takan, doing sai kang, field camps..this surely must be the most memorable 9 months of my life till date..really appreciate having the platoon mates that i have..ppl who go through thick and thin with u..really dunno where to start from but to anyone of u Bravo platoon 2 ppl out there who's reading this, u guys rock man!
FDS/TAB - yes..PCs have to stay in..when i was told abt this by my upperstudy, can't say i felt too good yeah? but nonetheless, it has been a fantastic experience in FDS. ok..staying in sucks but it really gave us lots of time to do all sorts of crazy stuff that i think i will never do again! haha..sometimes u just get so bored u suddenly start to say stupid things..haha..all the time spent talking cock over Malcolm, Club 2..getting chased out of our first bunk into another place, doing up our new bunk..all the activations that we've underwent..audit..9.15am meetings with CO..11 months have passed in a blink of an eye..really learnt a lot from my OC, S3, CO and the warrant officers..not forgetting my fellow PCs..Ben, Teo, Kenneth, Qiu, Jonathan, Li Shun, Alex, Lie Qi and platoon sergeants Ngiam, Ah Goh, Bosco, Sylvestian, Jerry..it's been really great spending my last 11 months with u people..be it doing work, going to the mess, fooling around..u guys have been great company man! dun ever lose contact with one another i warn u all..haha..and dun forget Bosco..i'm still the reigning champion in winning eleven..hahaha..
Anyway all that's left now is to go back on the 6th and collect my pink IC..woohoo! finally the day has arrived..what to do next? look for job? slack ard? really not too bothered right now..perhaps i'll just wait till chinese new year has passed before working..for now..it's time to sit back and savour the freedom that i have now..
