as a lot of my friends have been lamenting, life's pretty still after ord-ing..but i guess we all rather lead a still life than an army life..haha..anyway, just had a field soccer match yesterday again..lots of ppl couldn't make it so in e end it was pretty much a mix of my friends and friends of my friends..haha..played against weilin's camp team..mer! won 3-1 in e end..pretty comfortable win as we had quite a solid defence with ak and my primary school classmate who was formerly yjc no.9 and played as a defender for his school..anyway there was this once when i went on a run down the right flank and got hacked down after going past the guy..was damn furious but i didnt shout or scold anything..heard a few ppl from the opposition team saying good foul though..wth..well, guess it was a good foul or i would have released the ball and hopefully some1 would have scored..anyway we scored from the free kick so their evil intentions of stopping me were in vain..haha..anyway after the impact of falling onto the ground i just couldn't play anymore..sorta having a stitch, can't describe it though..haha..totally not in the game anymore and i think i wasn't making space down the right at all for ppl to pass to me..but it was just too pain la..anyway it was a good match under the scorching hot sun..but a serious &*(&@#%&^@# to the referee for charging 140 bucks for the field and his services..the field only costed 50 bucks as we found out after asking the referee for the next match..so u mean this referee is so special that he charges 90 bucks for his services? -censored- ...i've decided to refrain from scolding vulgarites, something i can't stop doing after army days..anyway went home after the match, washed up then headed back to town to have a belated celebration for weilin's birthday..me, alex, ak, kk turned up for the event..other than kk, alex and ak both called me with the intention of cancelling the event..haha..the truth is i didnt want to go either cos i already felt like fainting when i was walking home from the mrt station, which was the same case for alex and ak..just too unfit and having to play under the hot sun earlier on almost killed me..haha..but it's to celebrate weilin's birthday rite? so how can we cancel the event? mer! haha..anyway we just treated him to manhattan's at plaza singapura before heading over to one of the pubs near paradiz centre to catch the newcastle liverpool match..wonder how newcastle actually managed to win but well..that's football..anyway hoeman turned up halfway through the match..the man had his reply from Middlebury College earlier on and he's been accepted in..haha..he was screaming over the phone when he called weilin to arrange and meet up with us..when he arrived everyone noticed that he was already having a sore throat..haha..congrats to him..finally realised his dream..Sunday, February 11, 2007
